“The Wrestlers faced some Slaan here. Hoping to halt our losing run, but straight off the Slaan blitz us and one of their Blitzers catches the ball they just kicked! Les Kellet gets back and KOs it while Lucan takes the ball. But our formation is scattered. More Slaan come into our half. Lucan worriedly hands off to Les but the ogre drops it. There is some more scrumming near the ball and eventually Lucan has it back. He sidesteps a blitz. We see an opportunity with space in their half, and Lucan runs to Jim Breaks to be thrown forward... But Lucan falls to the ground (with reroll)! Not showing his value there. Both sides again end up trading the ball but just before half-time we fail a snot pass with Lucan in scoring range, a Slaan jumps up and passes the ball the other way and they score! A great half end for the Slaan after we had chances to get through.
Second half a Jim Breaks bonehead rr followed by a Les Kellet double skulls leaves us wide open. Most of our team near the middle while Les is practically mobbed by Slaan on the flank. They comfortably get by and stall for a while. A few snots get cas'd and finally Haystacks cas's the Krox. 2-0.
Still some time left. Giant Haystacks gets the ball. Diving tacklers are swarming around, and a blitz choice mistake leaves him in trouble. Jim Breaks falls and the opportunity was lost.
40 blocks and only 1 casualty produced showed the Ogres weren't quite hitting hard enough. But good on the Slaan for taking the hits. Snots didn't suffer too badly either to be fair.
Go Ogres!”
