“The goblins of Karak Azog faced the Khemrians of Lybaras in the first round of Nuln Invitational. The pitch was loaded with weapons, but apparently the ref wasn't informed about the nature of the tournament he was set to watch over. So fast was he at banning the weapons on every given opportunity. All three weapon-wielders of the Pride were out of the game after only a couple of turns. Their goblin counterparts did a bit better, but they too were either smashed out of the field by bony fists, or ejected by the ref.

The match was hampered by heavy rain, which caused some issues for both teams, and even for the extra nimble members of the Outlaws. Despite this, the goblins managed to score very quickly, which also resulted in the ejection of the Lybarasian bomber, along with the new Necrotect, Khenkas. His real depute is still in the making, it seems.

Pride quickly started their offense, with the sights set on getting a touchdown of their own before the halftime. Despite the goblins managing to slip through the fingers of the Pride, in the end it wasn't enough, and Bostesi snatched up the ball, dodged and even slipped over the tripwire that the wily goblins surely had set up prior to the game.

Second half started with another Pride offense, but sadly the dedicated carrier of the team, Pemkheza, had been knocked out by a goblin at the end of the first half, and wasn't able to bring it's superior ballhandling skills to the field.

The goblins set up their defenses, with the Trolls protecting the sides, and their remaining weapongobbo, the Looney Whiiiz, covered in the center of the field, ready to bring his saw to bear on the Lybarasians. Soon an opportunity presented itself, when the massive Golem was in range of the Looney. Unfortunately for the Pride, this rushing attack knocked the Makof out, and he was carried of the pitch. The strength advantage of Pride of Lybaras was quickly melting away, and the goblins were starting to gather around the ballcarrier.

One Troll got right next to the carrier, with the other trying to do the same. But lucky for the Pride, the rookie Troll forgot that it was supposed to be playing Blood Bowl, and stood motionless on the field. This opened up a route, albeit a risky one, for the skeletons and remaining constructs of the Lybarasian team. With a horde of goblins in pursuit, the ball was carried over the TD line, and Pride was in 2-1 lead, with still about a few turns left of the second half of the game.

But once again the pouring rain wrecked plans, as the goblins were unable to pick the ball up, giving Pride some time to strengthen their defenses, and possibly try and remove a few key players of the goblin team. Thanks to the hypnotizing, and a foolhardy blitz by Makof, many members of the Pride were able to reach the goblins. Though in a rush, Bostesi hypnotized a Troll, when in hindsight it should have set it gaze upon the goblin next to it, to make it harder for the Outlaws to pull some nimble ballplay. Luckily for the Pride of Lybaras, the goblin with the elflike agility didn't manage to catch the ball, and it fell to the ground. With not enough time remaining for the goblins to try any more tricks, the win was confirmed for Pride of Lybaras.
