“Very good game which had some real swings from start to finish. The Warriors started brilliantly, making the most of some patchy Helden blocking and a failed pick-up. Catcher Nussbaum recovered and with a screen managed to drive through for the first TD. After that both teams scored on their possessions, the Helden making it 2-2 late in the 2nd half and dealing out a lot of punishment.

The Warriors started Overtime with 8 men vs 11 and lost the toss too - all looked lost. The Helden proceeded to grind up the field and reduced the Warriors to 7, but in return Blitzer Klemme managed to finally injure something, the opposing statfreak Silver Surfer. Agile lino Amsel managed to sneak around the right flank to sack the ballcarrier, only for the scatter to pop into the hands of a lino. The Helden caged but then their ogre threw a triple skull block, which allowed a spectacular counter TD. The Warriors just about managed to clear part of the screen, to allow Klemme a 5+ dodge to enter the cage and hit the ballcarrier. That worked, the ball popped out of the far side and Nussbaum recovered for a ridiculously long return to win it with his hat-trick, sidestepping several incoming blocks to waltz right through the defensive line.

All in all a pretty crazy game. Well played Dominik and thanks for taking it in good part, only a really hot streak of dice at the end allowed the Warriors to take an unlikely win.”
