First half we had some players taken out, including an perm for Xavier which the apo couldn't fix. But we kept going with our defence attempt. We got the ball down but the Cwarves recovered. We had chances to get at him again but couldn't do it. The Cwarves were proving tough to knock down. Then near the end of the half Fox blitzed the hob carrier down and got the ball. Decided to gfi twice to be further away. Failed the 2nd. A Hob picked up and gfi'd over the line at their last moment!
Next half we were down on numbers but narrowly made a score through Mercy.
Then it happened. We kicked long and their Hob didn't pick up straight away. But it mattered little. The onslaught came. Elf after Elf was injured. Their mino was doing loner rrs and bashing elves out. Losing our 2 best players in Swan and Cleon in quick succession midway through the half were cruel pills to swallow. One from the mino and one from a gang foul. The team has 3 blitzers mangled today.
Not only that but we were still given a chance to take the ball at the end. Mercy managed it... but a hob hands off to another, and as with the first half they gfi to end the half with a TD.
