#10 Hagood Clarke – Dead (RIP)
#12 The Great Gloria – Broken Jaw (MNG)
#90 Max Spleenripper – Smashed Knee (NI)
Upon their return to the NCBB, the Gators only thought of their game against one team, the Oregon Waterfoul. In a spring football interview, Coach Garnak responded to a question about the Oregon squad. "We have along history against those *****. I'm sorry. I mean those Ducks, and it hasn't always been good. The boys will be ready to play them." Coming into their last out of conference game 0-1-1, Florida hoped to bring their record even. Rain, injuries, and lack of experience would be their undoing.

Pouring rain at the outset made the Gators very happy and field very muddy. Florida received the kick-off, easily picked up the mucky ball, and set their cage. Fans roared as star Max Spleenripper tore up Davandre Olgen's knee just as the cage formed. From here, it turned into a messy quagmire. For the next five turns the Ducks and Gators jockeyed for position as the scrum pushed toward the right side of the field. The elves made a few attempts at breaking the cage when the ball popped free on turn six. The Gators showed poise and moved to the middle of the field. A long run by Kirk Kirkpatrick on turn eight put the Gators up 1-0. To top off the drive, David Ghesquiere would kill Henry King with a thunderous hit. Unfortunately for the Gators, a few lame Duck fans started a riot in the stands. This caused the clock to be incorrectly reset. The extra time allowed Oregon to set up a shot at the end zone, but the rain wrecked havoc with their ball handling. The Gators took the lead to the locker room.

The second half started with a spread offense by Oregon. Florida appeared to handle it well through the first two turns. Then Donnie Young's inability to act allowed several elves to wiggle out of his grasp. The extra mobility opened up space for the Ducks to punch in a long pass on turn three. The Gators believed they had plenty of time to pull out a win, but the unrelenting rain made the ball too slick for Kirkpatrick to pick up the ensuing kickoff. The Ducks freed the ball to the sidelines where they had a cage set. Two turns later the Ducks were up 2-1. The Gators made a valiant attempt to tie the game at the end, but a hand off from Chris Doering to Withergrasp Doubledrool dropped to the ground.

"All in all, we performed well. Hagood Clarke's death at the end of the first half puts a dent in our depth. My primary disappointment however is we only got in three fouls the entire match. We have to do better next time."
