“From the outset, this looked to be an even, solid match-up. Two lean teams, packed to the brim with guard, a Mighty Blow and an agile ball handler each. Very similar, but one is green and the other short.
But then the dwarves decided to spice things up and splurge for Boomer! I was very tempted to get a bombardier of my own, but figured one would cause enough chaos.
And boy was there chaos! A whole mess of bombs were thrown, most largely uneventful (three orcs caught in the blast a number of times, with only one knocked down at most.)
But then there was turn 7. The dwarf carrier had broken through at last and was potato-ing downfield, hoping to survive the hit of William. Boomer over-enthusiastically threw his payload right at the free orc thrower, instead of at his feet... one caught and re-thrown bomb later, the ball was on the floor.
Particulars of the rest of the match are fading rapidly. Boomer was still on the field after a successful argue the call (and again after the orc score), but failed to accomplish much. Perhaps for the best. He had me worried though.”
