a) Chaos teams invariably have someone with claw (this one had 3)
b) Even Dwarves can outrun Chaos (sometimes)
This was a hard game that got harder as more Dwarves got sidelined. Khorne's Fury opened the scoring in the 6th after a prolonged period of good ball retention. With both teams thinking that an equaliser was unlikely; We set up to prove otherwise. Some slick passing, lucky blocking and quick(!) running later, it was 1-1 and half time.
Second half was a spiral of carnage with only 5 Dwarves on the field at the last. A cross-field pass totally threw our tattered defence, with only some quick thinking from Maxon and Gamil Zirak preventing the winning score.
Player of the game: Maxon and Gamil Zirak were fantastic in the final moments, but Bofur went mano e mano with the Ogre Kharne for the best part of the second half and got the better of him.
Donkey of the game: Nain got KO'd in the first turn, and didn't wake up until the journey home.”
