“This match was the PERFECT example of BB having far too much variance.

In the first half, I received, I set up to hit several things, foul, and then one turn score. Used my bribe up, couldn't KO anything let alone hurt them, and failed the pick up with built in re-roll.

This led to a brutal smashing that saw me down to 4 players before Crookback scored.

Crookback then scored again early in the second half (2nd or 3rd turn?) so it was 2-0.

I then one turn touchdowned.

Crookback then left the ball 'unguarded' (11 squares away, -2d blitz, I need to make 3 dodges into tackle zones just to get there), so I knocked it down, AND then big hand picked it up. Score.

Then I got a blitz! ... which I overcommitted to, Crookback got the ball and got 6 squares into my end, with all my gutters near his end zone.

Rookie linerat GFI's twice, Pows, knocks the ball into the sideline, sends it flying 10 squares towards Crookback end, I pick it up and toss it deep into a corner. Crookback blitzes it back down.. only to have the rookie linerat providing assists catch the damn thing, in an undefendable position; a 'mere' 3+ 3+ 2+ (with built in re-roll) 2+ later, and we pow the ball down, and score a third time. And then finish up with a perfect defense to prevent Crookback from one turn scoring.

The first half was brutal and awful, and Hell Pit shouldn't have played it.
The second half was brutal and awful, and Crookback shouldn't have played it.

But we got the first Crookback casualty!!
