Coach SW will be hearing the snickering of skaven in his nightmares for a long time after this latest disaster. Points lost, star player Brash killed, Krack still not picked up the skills to actually hit people...
It all started so well, the Headtaker's were well and truly put through the mangle for the entire first half. Gutter runners were stomped on with abandon - the referee had been taken aside and given a quiet talking too by the trio of effective black orcs (Krack was busy warming up his vocal chords trying to add a bit of oomph to his rather pathetic "waaargh", poor lad just doesn't seem to have it) and was completely uninterested in doing anything about it. Most of the rats were just lying around on the floor making wet squelching sounds when they were hit or a tiny squeek every time a boot found a particularly delicate spot. They probably barely noticed Braknak run it in for 1-0.
Second half, full of confidence the Manglerz trotted out and took up where they left off. The rats retreated to one corner. The ball was sent to the other. It was safe. The line was basically in touching distance. Game over. The black orcs were all in a knot trying for the love of Nuffle to teach Krack to actually hit the lone skaven in reach and not just stroke him and try to feed him whatever scraps of orc delicacy he had in his pockets.
Then from nowhere a BOOM! -ball on the floor. Smack, screening defender on the floor. Scuttle scuttle scuttle yoink, skaven claws on the ball. Whoosh, ball at the other end of the field. 1-1.
With barely any time left the final indignity; Brash, Manglerz star player, standing around in the midfield watching his companions fail to put together a scoring opportunity. Bang, skaven claw to the face. Dead. Apo checked him out. Definitely dead. The rebuild continues...”
