“The game started for the Orcs with a dubskull on our turn 1 and a dead Orc lino on the opponent's turn 1 (apo saved).
I was ready to go full Eeyore, but the game held better from there on. We scored on T7, being out of rerolls and not in a great position to stall further. Our opponent's 2 turn opportunity was terminated by a failed 1db on our ST4 lino, but they did KO a blitzer with some fancy footwork so we started the second half down on players, 9 vs 11.
In the 2nd half, we managed to pressure a score on T4, (7 vs 9 at that point), but were failed to score when receiving (9 vs 11 at kickoff). We might have had better odds to score if I hadn't wasted a reroll by misclicking.
Our opponents won the coinflip, but we finally got all our KOs back, so the OT started 10 vs 10. Not great, but good. The Orcs, having been properly chewn out by the coach for being so faint during full time play, chose this time to stop pulling their punches. By turn 5 of the OT there were 10 Orcs vs 5 UD and we had the ball, having used our last RR to GFI on the 2db blitz to knock it loose. The UD made a valiant effort to defend, but we scored on T8, now up 10 vs 3.
Interesting tidbit - the UD caught two kickoffs and one scatter. The Orcs caught one kickoff and two scatters. In a game with 24 turns and 3 touchdowns, there was only one pickup roll made.
