“Early on we got players on their side of their pitch. Runito chose a flank and Destroyer, our Krox, destroyed a skele. Our skinks were absorbing some hits and Runito decided to race through and score as most of the Saurii had got tied down by Tomb Guardians.

We blitzed forward and with a short, wide kick things looked good. Runito wasn't on the pitch but Locus was able to pick up. However things started turning as suddenly two Saurii were ko'd and Locus was smashed down! But Locus picked up again. We held back for a moment. I should have just held on for 1-0 at half time as we were outmatched now in the blocking battle. But late on we went for the hopeful 2-0. But Locus tripped the 2nd dodge.. Not only that but the Khemri pulled off a pickup and handoff to then score perfectly just before half-time! A massive turnaround.
A skink was killed off to start the 2nd half. We tried to pressure but the Tomb Guardians were keeping their advance going. But just moments before the end Krixus blitzed down their carrier.. Was it enough to save the draw?.. No! He made his pickup and then the win was theirs in the end.

I feel we threw it away somewhat late in the first half, perhaps overconfident, but well done to Misio and the Khemri.

We lost over 300k of gold after the match! Much grinding of teeth followed. Culprits to be found!”
