“Living up to their team name, the Lustria Luckers managed a win in their first match due to penalty shootout. This game was a tactical puzzle, with a spritz of big plays on both drives to keep things scoreless to OT. While the Luckers had numbers on their side (up two players to start OT) they were unable to pierce the Nurgle cage due to geggster's skillful coaching (neither side having any RR for all of OT didn't help much, either). Lady Nuffle, though, came through in the end - on to round 2!”

“A very tricky game with unforgiving nurgle against a good coach using amazons.
I was on the backfoot from the off, in pouring rain, not picking it up until turn 3 - and never safe. Scrabbled to halftime at 0-0 with the beast saving the day on multiple occasions. Men down, we mainly scrabbled to muster a defence and then only just about saving the TD with a late dodging bloater blitz, sending it to OT.
Won the toss, but still men down, and facing a wall of dodge and no RRs decided to stick it up my festering jumper and hope for a penalty win. The first part worked, just about - but after just about staying in it for most of the 24 turns over nearly 2 hours, we lost the penalty shoot out and fell (apart) to the ground exhausted.
Cracking game - really good fun. But man, zons are tough with rookie nurgle. Not helped by 11 total pows out of 113 total block dice! Roll on next game against Wintergreen13.”
