Don't Give Up: I felt like this game was definitely over after he got several removals, and a few turnovers with actions done in the incorrect order, but we stuck with it, and managed the very unlikely 1D goblin pow on a blodger. We then got a great bounce, followed by a great pick up, and a failed rush as the opponent tried to sack our carrier. Many rolls going very well for me, while going very poorly for my opponent. The lesson here for me is that one of the great things about Blood Bowl is that you can almost always hold out hope on a very narrow edge.
Cage Errors: My opening drive started well, but we put ourselves in two positions that should've ended in turnovers by getting the ball sacked. The first was a result of putting the cage on an active player. It was our Troll, and this seems to be where I let it happen most often. I need to remember that a ST 5 troll only takes two assists for a 1D block, and, just in the case as my goblin, pows happen. Corner is not exposed the blitz was free to come on. The other situation I actually felt was just bad luck. Attempted to hit with a cage corner and 1/9 into another 1/9. The lack of block hurts. In this instance I did not perform an action prior to the blitz to support in case of a fail, which I could've.
Actions Down Out of Order: Just another reminder that any action that can be done without dice, typically needs to be done before any dice action. I had multiple situations where I was in bad spots because of bad action order.
Fielding Against Teams With Kick: Need to be field wider and deep against a team with the kick skill. Caught by surprise here and got a lucky high ball and catch, but it could've been very unfortunate. ”
