Indeed, it was a game with the winds from Nuffle's backside wafting across the pitch, into the eyes of my opponent.

The blitz event with tricky kick create an opportunity, which my opponent did expertly neutralise and dismantle, however some risky play did reward the undead. Exceptional series of double skulls for the necro allowed the undead to get away with it.

My opponent does use excellent manipulation of chain pushes, however is unluckiest at the worst times for his drive. I am then able to capitalise on early removals. It has been very rare to get 4 CAS from 39 blocks, whilst only suffering 1 CAS from 61 blocks.

I think I may give too many blocks away- 61 is a record- and my opponent uses guard skill to great effect.

Learnings:

1) My opponent is highly experienced and successful. He does not talk to dices. It does seem this is characteristic of the top coaches. They know this type of game will happen.

2) Taking a risky play- in this game a 58% risk on T2- can be the right play even if met with failure. Mitigate the damage of fail state, and it is OK.

Findings:

1) The sneaky and dirty ghoul is an exceptional piece that did create the difference.
