“Another brutal game where we are ground down to burger mince.

It was a case of goats vs ghouls, with goats winning the bash war 0-3, but the ghouls taking the touchdowns 2-0.


1. GLOVES ON?

52 blocks, 28 with MB, for a grand total of 0 removals. Must take the gloves off next time.

In the end, we were able to find some nice chain pushes to crowd surf two goats, but that was the only pitch clearance we could find.

In contrast, we played down two players for majority of game. This had snowball effect of us not being able to protect mummy which was CAS in 2nd half.

A critical -2db with 69% success rate, failed. Seeing another CAS to our blodge ghoul.

So... learning is to protect better, but as the initial 2 removals were LOS, I think it was OK. Nuffle for sure.


3. BLITZ!

I hate this kick off event. This game was set to be a win for goats, until the blitz and shallow kick allowed ghouls to steal ball early.

It was no clear sailing, but but the good grace of Nuffle we survived.


2. BLODGE

Great skill set, and reason for success. Our ghoul ball carrier survived many hits. This is the first time it really has had an impact.

We are now down to one blodger. Time to skill another perhaps.


Summary:

Nuffle did touch the dice of both teams here. The poor goats do need some block, and in general we had a reasonably clear path to the blocks by comparison.

Opponent was great, lots of fun, and hope to play again. ”
