It looked really bad in the beginnning. I received. In 2 turns, I spent both RRs on pickup attempts that were in my EZ. I failed 4 pickups in back to back turns. The elves were on me. I went to get coffee because I figured this was the beginning of the end for a long game. When I came back, the ball was thrown somewhere near a scrum. I still couldnt pick it up in the first half. But the blorcs were removing delves left and right.

After all KOs back for the delves, it looked again like it would be a long second half where I had to kick. My opp failed a block on a RR and it opened up the backfield to run in with goblins. I scored very early. As much as I wanted to stall, I didnt stun the witch so there wasnt a safe place to be.

One the next kickoff, I managed to take down the ball carrier. He was open but thats not my opps fault - hes just low on players and low on time so a potato run was used.

Still failing to pick up the ball (must be coated in elf blood), I ground it out for a 1-0 win.

Its weird, I got so luck with the removal that it outweighed early failed pickup attempts. But I'll take luck, esp in a blorc V delf matchup. ”
