#8 Richard Zorie – Dead (RIP)
So I geared this team for removal and welcome to Super League, your first opp is going to have iron hard skin. HOORAY!

First half pushed his guys and gave him a good ful target so I could get a sideline cage toward the EZ. It cost me, which is fine. I got lucky that my 1 die blitz didnt end me on my T4 score. But with Jug and a RR, its not THAT much of a risk.

It all pretty much went dowhill from there. There was a point on T7 where I could have had better positioning to stop the score in spite of being down players. But I 1/89 the hit and it set up a hand off for a score.

In this amount of time, the opp fouled every turn (expected and admirable), was caught twice, and successfully argued each time OUCH.

Second half I had 10 players. Then in the blonk of a set up I had 7 players. You can pretty much guess how the rest of it went. I held off as long as I could. with a lot less players, once I tag, thats it. Ive lost mobility. So I picked a turn where it looked l=ike I could tag and it would matter.

I managed to hit the ball carrier twice being down a lot of players. And the game winning TD came down to a 3 plus pickup and a rush. SO even in one-sided affairs like this, I try to remember where I could do something different AND where I made the right calls. Being down that many players and still sacking the carrier twice is success in and of itself.

But even with those last turn heroics, and Borak getting called out on like T6 of the second, it wasn't enough.

Opp played great and his build AND team are a direct counter to mine. So good job on the skill choices and the team choice. I love Borak.

As for dice:

We both had about the same amount of blocks, and I only rolled for injury 4 times. OUCH. Granted IHS has something to do with that. My linos AV is lower than his. Compare that to the opps 21 INJ rolls and that a bigger picture of the game as a whole.

My block die are about even spread wheres my opp only rolled 10% skulls, very low on the skulling.

My 1s were the most of my single die results.

Im just glad for this practice, that I know if I come across a chorf team, IM in trouble. I think thats just whats gonna be.

Opp was fun to talk to and played very well, took good advantage of that game like a great coach should.
