FIRST HALF
In defense Necro managed to Claw Maple out the game early, slight fortunately. Wraiths were losing a mini-battle round back of the cage. Fox side caged, and broke free for the score with a string of 2+ for 0-1
Quick score back T7 went well, T8 dub skulled. Note to self: don't burn RR on defensive positioning v's indefensible player like a AG4 stunty.
SECOND HALF
Necro broke through fairly easily, surviving a few plucky attempts at the ghoul from the gnomes. Decided to score and go for the win 1-1 tbh this lost us the game. I dislike how BB rewards negative play in these circumstances.
Fox caught the High kick, and sauntered forward to a side cage. Necro failed a straight 6 dodge, easy touchdown 1-2
I don't really like the new teams of Gnome + Vamps. Game breaking 2+ actions undermine the positional game: roll the right 2+ and score. [I know gnome are terrible, it's not about win rate] I can hardly be bothered to play properly against these teams. Because for example defense is just a stupid battle where positioning is not that important. Just try for CAS and hope they fail a critical 2+.
Necro attack was super sloppy because I knew we'd get through easy. Probably annoyed with myself for not just doing a tedious stall. I wasn't really taking the game seriously; because we were both locked into a pretty dumb game mechanic.
GW should bin all the special rule nonsense like Trickster, Hit + Run, Crushing Blow. Stop inventing game breaking players; and focus on the core elements of position, block, run, pass.”
