“Enjoyed the game despite the loss and the Flings exit after a (partially) glorious run.
First half the flings marched forward and with Helmut in the cage, no rats really threatened, keeping their powder dry. Turn 7/8 was where it got interesting. Catch went for a wander and almost got hunted down. Hugely risky but burnt both rat rerolls - bingo. 1-0. And then flings with a blitz kick off event meant a chance to stop the 1TTD, maybe crowding the ball might have done it, but I was worried about touchback. Nevermind, messed it up, and rats with zero rerolls but flawless execution nailed it. I’ll have to watch the replay to see what I should have done better.
Second half and stopping the blitzer/gutter combination was never on the cards so the plan was to store rerolls and remove as many as possible, hope for 2-2 and overtime vs about 5 players. The 5 players bit worked, but the 1TTD was scuppered by a deep kick.
Kind of a little bit glad to be out… there’s only so many beatings I can take….

Last turn of the 1st half was thinking I would not have a team to go the whole way, saw an opening for the ball and greeded all my rrs in a few dodges and rushes. Serious trouble when it did not work out.
1tt without the rerolls was a matter of pure luck. The blitz rattled me and mistakenly thought I had 2d to clear the pickup instead of a life-saving 1d. Then one of those gutter runner moments to score.
Team continued to be annihilated as gutter stalled the score until the last turn. Halfling 1tt and them receiving in OT would have been the end, but Lady luck smiled again with a deep kick.
