“1st match in BB format
My post-match feedback before replay & analyzed
1°) positive points
- I managed to play the vast majority of my turns in under 4 minutes. My opponent was patient enough to forgive me for those I exceeded the limit.
- Luck, as I say, is a marginal factor in this game (it's just the gas pedal), but there's always an exception to confirm any rule. In truth, I've had insolent luck. In the kingdom of cuckolds, I'm the Emperor...
2°) My areas for improvement
I MUST learn to play with the STARs...
I chose Fungus because I thought it would create space for me on my defense drive and allow me to handicap the beast and its prehensile tail.
His placement was a mess and his effectiveness reduced to 0 by my opponent's H1T1, which played superbly.
My whole defensive drive, i wasn't able to block due to perfect positionnement of my opponent (surely there is something to learn on his offensive drive)
3°) Game plan
My game plan was to keep as much movement as possible to exploit any gaps in my opponent's attack/defense.
- Defense: when I managed to drop the ball, I didn't manage to exploit it, because I didn't stick to my initial game plan (well, the turn with 3 players out hurt).
- Attack: the climate was a real handicap, and with the opposing players offside, I decided to play my ALL-IN. (I think my blitzer could have been better positioned to optimize the gob's movement & therefore his; but I don't know if my opponent would have engaged his goat as much).
