“Thanks to fuji2086 for this game & allow me to discover Dwarf roster.
My first feedback before review the game.
1°)the team's lack of mobility should force me to work on positioning
=> 13 rushes with the dwarfs is a bit too much, it seems to me.
2°) better positioning will make blocking safer
=> 40% 1d blocking is too much to make a difference
=> well, I haven't had much luck with blocking: 55% of my blocks were successful (40% arrows and 15% skull).
3°) KO & Injuries:
=> I wasn't very successful in this area either.
=> 22% of armors passed (9/41) and only 1 KO
4°) Frenzy management :
I think I did pretty well except for 1x when I either miscalculated or he missed his intrepidity roll, to be verified, but I think 1st solution.
I'm lucky he took the MVP's 4SPP.
My opponent :
He made a few mistakes (Big Guy management; sequence of actions in the turn, some positioning).
He made two tactical errors in H2:
the 1st allows me to control an extra turn and then score without pressure because he doesn't blitz in the right place and puts “no” pressure on the ball carrier.
The 2nd, in H2T7, he can infiltrate players to position himself in a scoring situation, but he doesn't control the turn count and makes a cage “in the middle” of his field.
in the 1st half he defended very well, which meant that in the second half I had to try and infiltrate some players very early on (incidentally, I made a mistake here which prevented me from infiltrating an extra player who was blocked by the wrong player).
game experience: I enjoyed playing this team, but it was more in the style of how am I going to get through this damn Tetris than: “Charge! Forward, dwarf steamroller! Get those long, hairless legs off the field!””
“Thanks for the first match back after a 17 year hiatus. I agree with Kanwulf's assessment of the match. I was definitely not playing ideally and made a number of mistakes. I feel that I should have better positioned my team to take advantage of higher MA than the dwarves. I feel that I was constantly trying to remove myself from a hole with players on the ground. Thanks you and good game Kanwulf.”
