“Another autumn game, and another opponent we met during the summer tournament.
Last time, the Nightwings outclassed us in positioning and we lost 0-2.

The Legion was determined to have its vengeance but i have to admit i wasn't really confident in our chances.
With the big TV diff, we got ourselves the premium bloodletter Scardark Clotsucker and the usual wizard.

We won the toss and chose to receive first, hoping to do some damage.
But guess what ? Blitz ! With their speed, they went directly under the kick and Eryndor the shadow walker caught it.
Our first turn and we were already in danger. Thankfully, Scardark was in range to blitz and got the ball free with a clutch double skull reroll and Elaraz took the ball.
Our positionning was still all over the place. We passed the elves' line but our bloodletters were too angry to protect Elaraz and the sack was open again.

This game of sack and retrieve went on during the whole half. Most rebounds went our way and the elves couldn't get away too far with the ball each time they took it.
On the last rebound, the ball bounced towards the crowd. I hereby thank the Legion fan who threw it back, deep in the high elves' pitch, exactly where we needed it !
The fight was not over until the last turn though. Only with the help of the wiz to transform Talyndra into a frog, Jigrim got the ball one last time to score with style.

I was so stressed after this half, i had to get some water at the stall. I'm coming back after the setup and what do i see ? Aghond, Bringer of Death, decided to go on the LOS to, i quote, 'show these puny elves how to fight' !?
A foul later and he's knocked out for the beginning of the next half...

With our beloved bloodthirster missing, the start of the second half was awfully quiet in comparison. I asked the Legion not to commit too much, counting on Scardark's mobility to cover and strike if any opportunity presented itself.
The cultists withstood the blocks very well and after a good repositionning by the daemons, the Anlec warriors scored on turn 5 to go for the win.
1-1, and Aghond, Bringer of Death comes back !

4 turns to attack, but Elaraz is out. It's time for Ingugan to shine ! 'Ingugan please we need you, don't do something stupid like in all your other games...'
Somehow he got the ball and the legion warriors could advance very carefully.
The Nagarythes tried to put some pressure on us but the shadow walkers failed some key dodges and the path was open.
On the last turn, Ingugan was surrounded, BUT with a good handoff to Vucius, we got to the endzone for the victory !

I wasn't expecting to win this matchup, but both inducements turned out great in this wild game.
3 points in two matches, we need to keep up the momentum to aim the podium of this Tin divison !”
