“When Thorg Fairyhacker, captain of the Scholars and Gentlemen, heard that the famed composer (and vicious scorer) George Frideric Händel would be holding a concert, the team was excited to attend.
Rip Toothtaker commented before the concert, "Me wunz neva hord dat muzik..." (Rip then forgot what he was going to say, and walked away unconcernedly.) Blarg Necksnapper expressed interest in sitting in the front row, wishing for the best possible view of the bass section.
Controversy was sparked when Narzag the Bitter accidentally stepped onto a halfling, killing him and falling onto Giacomo Puccini's cello, smashing it utterly. Puccini was incensed, throwing his sheet music at Narzag (who later commented that he found the adagio to be a delightful work of genius, suggesting more liberal use of garlic and papyrus in the third refrain) and signalling the kickoff for the game.
Alas, orcs are poor listeners, however willing to learn they might be. Soon (to the many, varied forms of the word "pow!") the instruments of the Composers were smashed. Fortunately, nobody was injured, as when Thag Gnomekicker barrelled through the Composers' defenses (putting his foot through a snare drum, in so doing). Gore Rackmaster later remarked how moved to tears he was by the beauty of the concert, and lamented that the dice were less fair to his opponents than he would have been.
Great game, fun opponent -- I'll look forward to our Ranked team matchups in the future. :)”
“Well.. this game was quite one sided.. Mr Pow over there (yes thats you Zarkhor) did about everything right, including an amazing numer of POWs and a blitzmove in the 1st half. He only was not able to get my players worse then KO (they were massively KO though) only 8 players on the pitch at the end of the 2nd half, all down on their face looking for that bananaskins they had trouble with the whole game.
41% was not good enough today. Still it was a fun game. Zarkhor is a coach I would like to hit.... err I mean play every time. :-)
Thanks for the game mate. it was fun!!”
