With the KO box rapidly filling up in the first half as the play flowed over onto one wing, with several players being sent crowd-surfing, the Mice actually gained the numerical advantage over the Crawlers despite having their treeman sitting out the first half. This weight of numbers took its toll, and despite kicking off the Mice managed to wrest the ball from the Crawlers control, killing the poor reigning Miss Universe in the process, and scored right on half-time to take a 1-0 lead to the main break.

With their treeman returned, an advantage of 9 fit players to 8, a 1-0 lead and receiving the kickoff in the second half, that should have been enough to hold on for at least a comfortable win, right? Well I certainly thought so, and only through a little bit of late luck was I able to knock out his ball-carrier with a dodging, blitzing flesh golem and managed to run it the length of the field for the tieing score right on the full-time buzzer!
