“The curse is broken! We have finally defeated our cousins the chaos dwarves on the field of battle! No more must we look at our record vs the race as winless (0-3), for we showed these brutes how the game is played! They learned quickly, too, causing a -av to a longbeard and a niggle to a runner in turn 7 second half. (Unfortunately, the -av came first, which I apo'd. Think I'd rather have that to the niggle, but oh, well.)
Still, can't attribute the game entirely to my skill as a coach; he failed pickups with agi 4 4 times in the game, and rolled double-1's to fail gfi's with his centaurs another 4 times, double skulls mino once. So yes, luck was a factor, but the difference between a coach and a good coach is how he uses that luck to his advantage or negates it. This was a good game, even with the loss of the runner to a coaching slot. His replacement should be up to speed in no time.
He got his revenge of the 1's on my ff, though. I swear, I have rolled more 1's for ff with this team than is healthy! I win the large majority of my games; I have a decently high positive cas ratio; I score on average 2 per game. Why's it so hard to get and keep fans?”
