“This game lived up to the Unbelievable! reputation for wacky endings. I score in two turns to start the game, lickety split. He then follows with a 7 turn grinding drive to score. I had a shot to score on him--got a 2d block deep in his backfield, woulda easily run a loose ball in to score. However, up crops pow/skull-skull, and I'm using a rookie gutter to blitz. Oops. Missed opportunity #1.

Second half, he receives and I have only 7 rats on pitch from cas/ko. He continues to bash around, this time all cas and no ko, til I have only 4 rats on pitch. However, he's having trouble picking the ball up, and I'm speeding a gutter and my super-SV sasquatch (agi 4 mv 9 :-) ) to try to help show him how to pick the ball up. He can't get anybody in close enough to help out, it's a 1d blitz for him. However, it's at this time he chooses to get lucky, getting a 1d POW for a stun, picking up the ball at the same time. Missed opportunity #2.

In an effort to get a skill, he tries to pass the ball to a CW, but fails the completion despite a rr. My super-SV goes for the ball...only to get dragged back by the tentacled CW near him. Missed opportunity #3.

However, this is turn 8 second half by now, I have 3 rats on-pitch, he has 11 chaos guys. But Nuffle was having fun this game, so decided to let his CW fail his gfi to score, ending the game in a draw. Winnings after were 10k for him (just enough for his rr, his goal this game) and mine 50k for a replacement linerat on the rookie he niggled. All in all, a decent enough game. I'd been worried about surviving, but we came out alright.”
