Soft and Sweet beat Short and Sweet with one single TD !!!
It was a very close match as the Str ratings also indicate. Both teams could hit hard and handle the ball and everything went very balanced.
We scored our TD after receiving in the first half and could stop the dwarfs from making their first half TD.
In the second half the weather changed to pouring rain and that was probably the reason the dwarfs couldn't tie the game. Although they definitely tried very hard and the human defense almost let them pass, ALMOST.
Steve Souffle is really getting the hang of blocking and he does it with heart and soul, causing two casualties and a couple of KO's this game alone !! Unfortunately for Short and Sweet player Lonely Steve fell on top of him while he was already on his way to the locker room. He didn't take this very well and Short and Sweet will have to go on without Lonely. Steve said he's sorry about this and he didn't mean it.
Looking forward to our re-match !!”

An incredibly tight defense by the puny humans kept the Short ones scoreless. In fact, they were CP, INT, CAS and TD-less! The wee ones just didn't seem to have their heads in the game, blowing several key plays, Most notably a disastrous dropped ball to start the second half.
Well coached by Bartje and I look forward to Sweet Bowl II. Fugly, Lonely's brother-in-law, was quoted as saying, "That big Steve feller better look out, lest some clumsy little longbeard 'accidentally' happens to trip and pile on top of him."
