We had a blizzard from the very beginning till the end of this game and it really made a difference. I wasn't used to a short passing game with my elves and it confused me most of the game.

I was introduced to Foul Appearance this game, I thought it was wierd to set up a FA guy close to the line, but realized that he was interfereing in most of my passes and catches. I gotta be more careful in the future.

It was a hard fought battle which no one won. I'm pretty scared of a rematch, because AFK_Eagle's RO will probably make it onto the pitch, but I'll probably accept anyway. ;)

A failed gfi in the endzone as time expired...that was the difference between a draw and a victory. He got two of the worst possible handicaps for me--virus knocked out my two best players, and Morley's Revenge meant my third best player was available on only half the drives. So when you are forced to lineup only 9 rats, of which only two have more than one skill, you're pretty much forced to rely on what little you can do--and when you have a OTS, what you can do is score fast!

My opponent was quite flustered, and started resorting to fouls to try to clear what few rats remained. But LN just kept scoring, and it was only a failed gfi in the endzone at the end of the first half (not a OTS this time, I'd stolen the ball fair and square after a botched pass on his part) that kept me from having a 4-1 lead one turn into the second half. After he scored to make it 3-2, I could've easily done yet another OTS, but decided to try to get some other rats into the action (and burn a little time off the clock in the process). However, a series of skulls on my blocks negated any idea of pulling this off, and he eventually was able to send it back the other way to tie the game as time expired.

Good game, would've been completely different were it not for the virus handicap. We'll be looking for a rematch sometime when it's not flu season...
