“The Blitzkrieg pulled this one out by the skin of their teeth and in no small part to the terrible luck of the opposing coach.
After a Blitz to start the first half, the game devolved into a boxing contest in midfield as the two teams scrambled for the ball, turning each other over several times. The Orcs got the ball out but a disasterous failed catch (by an ag 4 player) led to a Blitzkrieg recovery and a score in the last seconds of the half.
Up 1 to 0 to start the second half, the Blitzkrieg recieved the ball and, partly due to a Perfect Defense, quickly turned it over. However, star Blitzer Mann pulled their fat out of the fire (and the ball out of the opposition's hands) with a well placed block. The deadly quaterback-n'-catcher duo of Hans "Half-elf" Hawkeye and Gunter Katz did the rest.
Up 2-0 midway through the back half, the Blitzkrieg got sloppy and their defense quickly gave up a two-turn touchdown to the orcs. With two turns left and the ball in hand, the Blitzkrieg inititated a risky offensive play and the Orcs, again using Perfect Defense, quickly took advantage. The ball came loose again and only the failure of a dodge roll saved the Blitzkrieg from giving a sure thing away.”
