Mully broke back into the ranked arena with a game vs well known AFK_Eagle. Although not one of his more pretigious teams, it would still be a fun match.

Pre-game and I thought this would go either way. The humans had 11 players and a couple of nigglers, while the elves had 12 players and a couple of nigglers including their star AG5 WD.

Well, my catcher niggled out and AFK's STAR thrower niggled out. Advantage elves.

A disconnect occrurred early on messing up the game quite a bit. However, both coaches acted mature and tried to make sure the game continued properly, although this required several rerolls.

As AFK mentioned the game turned on a dropped ball on the humans 1st posession. I almost gave it back when I chose pow/skull with my STR4 ball carrier forgetting he didnt have block. Fortunately AFK made his only mistake when, instead of securing the ball (or at least getting TZs around it, he chose a block with his dumb big guy and double skulled.

We walked in for a 2-0 lead. The rest of the game was us hanging on as our numbers got thinner and thinner.

The final score was a T8 TD pass with 0 RRs left.

Larson stayed after signing autographs for the Destiny players.

I knew coming into this match I'd be outclassed, as I was down to 11 players on the roster, one of them MNG and my star thrower niggling out, leaving 9. As expected, he quickly leaped to an early 2-0 lead, helped in part by a failed pass by my less-experienced thrower having to suddenly fill in for the star quarterback. Guess he couldn't handle the pressure early.

But things settled down in the second half, with both teams scoring twice. Azema is continuing his bid to become one of the best human linemen in history, passing his 76 spp roll aging only a -av. I guess when you get as old as he is, you start to chafe under all that armor plating, and who's a coach to argue with one of his super-stars whether he puts it all on before each game? Just so long as his bum knee allows him to play every game in the first place...
