The only handicap which could have possibly hindered me more this game would've been a virus. As it was, "I'm the Greatest!" pitted the willpower of my two best players, Sasquatch the ball-retriever, and 600 lb the str 6 walking mountain. I ended up having to alternate drives for whom would be more useful--600lb played on offense, to punch open a hole the others could run through to score, while Sasquatch played on defense to try to intercept passes and such. As it was, the true star of the game turned out to be Bermuda, who almost missed the team bus in the first place--the big baby was complaining that his twin niggles were too much for him to handle today, and the coach told him to suck it up. Guess he didn't take kindly to being treated so poorly, and he took it out on the opponent elves.

Game started with the elves scoring as elves usually do, although the very first block of the game resulted in a badly hurt rat, and a second rat went to the BH box before the drive was over. This meant, after the handicap roll kept one of my super-stars off pitch, that I could only field 10 rats for the rest of the game. But when you have twin OTS, that's really all you need!

Don't get me wrong, though--I am NOT a coach who does all his scoring using his OTS. In fact, I do everything I can to avoid such a situation. That's why my scorer got two and a linerat one this game. The other two were just a matter of the half running out, no other rat close enough to the endzone, so MI had to take the ball into his hands and do what he does best (on second turn of the drive each time, not a OTS).

It must be said, the game really could've gone the other way (and I'm sure my opponent would argue it SHOULD'VE gone the other way). However, the elven curse of 1's was alive and well today, causing him to fail two 2+ pass/catch combos and at least one 2+ gfi/dodge combo. These lapses in concentration on his team's part allowed my rats to scoop up the ball and score twice on what could've been elven touchdowns. Now, with a OTS (or two) on a squad, you're never really out of a match, but my opponent really did have some silly mistakes today.

Thx for the game!

Edit: I really don't know why teams have such a problem playing against OTS teams. They would rather face squads full of claw/rsc/po/dp teams which could result in their team's utter devestation, than to face a OTS. *shakes head* I'd like to think I do the OTS the right way--he's a tactical option for when time runs out, but otherwise I score with everybody else instead. I don't know...
