“Handicap - Knuckdusters.

The MOST fun game I have ever had, thanks to the specs. There were a few Malthor haters who booed everything good that happened for me, and one guy who was cheering madly in competition. There were cheers and boos going every 30 seconds to a minute at one stage. Had me in hysterics it was so funny and even my opponent had a good laugh despite the one sided match.

The game was quite one sided. The Royalists often put 9 players up on the line and pushed forward and only kept their two throwers in the backfield. This allowed me to use my superior speed to put pressure on his Throwers repeatedly and steal the ball on a few occasions when their turn ended suddenly due to a missed dodge or something.

I also benefited from a Blitz kick off result that let me storm through and control the ball and score. I was able to steal the ball and score another time when my opponent forgot to check if I had Pass Block or not when setting up for a possible score and my player blocked up the lane he wanted to run down.

With the game way out of reach (0-4 down?) my opponent did some plays that he described himself as rubbish offence and I was able to steal the ball again with the help of lots of friendly dodge rolls to set up a two dice blitz on his Str 4 Catcher with the ball.

Definately luck was on my side with the Blitz, and me making nearly every dodge I wanted to make all game apart from 1 or 2. The other reason for the win was a couple of mistakes by my opponent (not seeing the Pass Block) and him relying on his two Throwers (one did not have Block, and neither had Dodge) to protect the ball from my fast players. A Blodger in the backfield to carry the ball would have made it much harder (as none of my Catchers had Tackle) or a sweeper would have prevented me from stealing the ball a couple of times.

Anyway, it was an extremely fun match thanks to the specs and my opponent was a friendly sporting fellow and I hope to play him again in the future.
