It had been the showdown the Gods had been waiting all season for..and they didn't walk away empty handed. They had played like the Gods they are...casting aside the Undead early and going into the half 2-0. A few play calling confusions saw the lead erased with 2 cool TDs to the oppurtunistic Ghouls...but a fizzlely fireball and a quick hand-off and run to Hera got the Lightning over the line with a T16 TD for the WIN! All of Olympus was awake with the post match celebration.
"You were stunning my love..simply stunning. I love staring at your backside as you waltz in for touchdowns" Zeus was clearly besotted anew with his magnificent wife. "Ahh honey... I can't believe how turned on I got watching your righteous anger boil over. The BH was nice..but watching you get your foul on with that vampire was SEXY!" Hera coo'd as the King and Queen snuck off to a quiet corner.
Hercules tended to Pegasus near the punch bowl. "Way to go buddy! The Blitz was cool enough..but to see you wing in for the TD was something special." Pegasus whinnied in response...even though Zeus had given him human form, the winged steed still couldn't talk....but he was clearly proud of himself.
Even a damaged Poseidon, whacked silly in a late blocking contest, was clearly enjoying the win. For his efforts he had been given the MVP!
"Can you believe it my friends..."he said as he continued to wave to everyone,"BOTH MVP's were won by Gods tonight! Ares won a MVP TOO!!!"
Heads turned with the pronouncement...something didn't seem quite right about what Poseidon had just said.

"BOTH MVP's?" questioned Hades..

"Hey.." said Artemis, "Where IS Ares???"”
