“Orcland Wooden Shield 2005 II - round 2

I'm not sure I deserved to win this game. I started out strong by getting several players of the field and into the KO-box (of which several never returned despite many kick-offs) and made it an relatively easy 1-0.
Little of relevance happened in the following turns since I failed to bring down the ball-carrier.

2nd Half proved to be way more close than it should have been (too close it seems) as the orcs managed to make it 1-1 after some incredibly stupid moves (and lack of moves) followed by some double skulls RR pow/skull & pow/skull. Da_Todfatha whipped out a good play and managed to get the ball down the field and down on my half where he was able to screen it quite effectively requiring a couple of 4+ dodges that I promptly failed - he scored and made sure we went into overtime.

Overtime proved to be far too close as well. I opened up with a nice 1st round but forgot to pick up the ball with my ag4 ghoul leaving the ball too far away to try anything serious in the following round. What followed was a rediculous display of douple skulls and similar from both sides - neither of us managed much more than two actions before the skulls took over the game for the next 3-4 turns. In the end I was able to get the ball away from the orcs and into the hands of Rogan who scored the winning goal.

Thanks for an interesting game Tod. Next time we meet I hope our teams are equal, luck is normal and that I more rested than I was today so I can provide you with more interesting company ”
