“When Jazz Giants opted to receive, little did they realise that the Blitz! result on kick off would decide the game... despite strong resistance and seemingly mithril armour on the humans in the 1st half, the dwarves made it 1-0.
And it got worse for Jazz, as the Bullies, having had one of their team mates fouled in turn 8 of the 1st half, put on their "special" mail gloves, and started beating the living excrement out of the human team, leaving an easy walk in to the TD zone to make it 2-0 to the dwarves.
Jazz restored some pride through T.Monk, but it was of little comfort to the beleagured Jazz coach Redfish...
Sorry for the beatings... they all occurred in two turns... like a highly concentrated fight... and there was onlny going to be one winner in that... and he had a scythe...

Ah well. Noone has taking damage from being beaten to death so far, right? It was a fun match after all and I like to think I gave my opponent a bid for his throne. After the mentioned Blitz! I managed to free up a catcher who made it all the way to the endzone with the ball after a Dodge and a GFI. Unfortunately the RR for the turn had been used on the dodge and the remaining GFI ended in a nap on the grass for the poor would-be ballcarrier.
After having managed throught the first 7 turns relatively unharmed my team set up for a OTS which got easier due to a quicksnap but as three dice only managed to achieve 1 pow and two skulls it was killed in it's birth.
Following the 'Slaughter of the Midfield' I was in a position for my Ogre to use his immense strength to break free from the valient Longbeards who could do naught but eat his dust as he blitzed the Runner with the ball. Unfortunately a rift in time and space caused me to click pow/skull instead of the Pow! (a pushback as the Runner had dodge that would have placed him up against the sidelines and no Slayers in sight and only a couple of Longbeards) which resulted in the swift, merciles fall of my Ogre who was quickly brought out of reach of the Runner - his way blocked by a Longbeard whom he double-skulled in his attempt to pressure the Runner into scoring.
