“Turn 3 of the match was a bad one for me...my RO was crowdpushed (luckily just a stun)...failed a 3+ w/rr for a touchdown...he stole the ball...killed one SV...badly hurt the other...from that point on, I went from staying even to just trying to stay alive. The blasted heat kept knocking out rats left and right, while barely scratching the lizards...go fig.
Fortunately for me I have the speed to score quickly with very few players; unfortunately for me, I was so low on players that I was forced to use this speed for OTS over and over, which I typically hate to do. It hurts team development, tends to age the players prematurely (as my agi 5 gutter aged a niggle at his 51 spp roll), and leaves too much time for the opponent to score in return. The lucky break I needed came when his krox double-skulled on the LOS before his skinks had recovered the ball, and a multiblock of two saurii later freed up the ball for me to tie the score. A new game! Couldn't stop him from scoring once more, but I had the final turn and the OTS to equalize again as time ran out.
Alas, poor Wakizashi, he died way early and had only a single skill. No way was I going to apo him and risk my team's stars...think I'll have the apo be the one to break the news to the deceased's family...”
