“A classic game against a very talented and amiable coach. 3 Halves of top BB action as a fumble gave him the early advantage but a long hard cage drive nearly fell apart and only some deft pushing allied to lucky gfi's with no reroll available meant we went in for oranges with honours even at 1-1.

Second half and despite pressure the thinning elf line claimed the 2-1 advantage but with rerolls dwindeling for the lithe ones the chaos steamed another cage down the middle and stepped over on the whistle to take it into OT.

OT saw 8 elves line up and face a full chaos side with 3 rerolls. Kick Off saw the elves rise to 2 rerolls of their own and the game was on. Lucky safety play from the Paladins key tackler took out any advancing elves while the teams bulk hemmed the elves in and drove them back. The elves breakout was dogged by 1's and rerolls went. Finally another 1 spate led to an opening and the paladins claimed and dominated ball from there.

Two tired, spent coaches welcomed their teams into the dressing rooms. Their had to be a winner, but both teams could have claimed it as their right.
