Da Gitz hired a Weirdboy, just in case da Boot Squad would pull some nasty tricks on us.

Da Boot Squad received first and much to everybody's surprise the Troll caught the kick-off on the LOS. He was indeed so confused by this himself that he went stoopid for two out of the first three turns. This allowed da Gitz to put pressure on him and get him down. There was some scrambling for the ball before da Gitz rookie blitzer could emerge with it. He started a cautious drive for the end zone, keeping in cover behind his teammates. It proved to be overly cautious however. Da Boot Squad's star lineorc Cletus dodged in the way and prevented the TD by way of doubleskulls from one of da Gitz less developed lineorcs. 0-0 at half-time.

Da Boot Squad caught da Gitz by surprise with a blitz to start the second half. They could not get under the ball however, and da Gitz star goblin Tinsy could get the ball upfield. Da Boot Squad put up a strong fight on the LOS and Tinsy suddenly found himself inadequately protected. He was blitzed down and again Cletus dodged in to pick up the ball. Now Da Gitz' Weirdboy had seen enough of Cletus' moves and fried him with a lightning bolt, allowing Da Gitz to recover the ball. Tinsy soon found himself on the way towards what looked like a certain TD...

...when one of Da Boot Squad's blitzers performed the play of the day by dodging and going for it to reach Tinsy just in time, taking him down again! He was supported by his goblin helper, but they were outnumbered by da Gitz in that part of the field and Tinsy could pick up the ball again...

...only to be taken down again by the same blitzer, who dodged his way free of another difficult situation! This pattern repeated itself, but da Gitz got ever closer to the end zone and in the end got the ball in for the winning TD. The higher strength of Da Gitz team weighed too heavily on the shoulders of that lone blitzer.
