In front of 38,000 screaming fans the Knights of Bretonnia were only able to field 9 players against the Lucky Lunatics in the Lunatics' and their coach’s first ever game in the open division.

The Lunatics received the ball and managed to squeeze out a touchdown. The Knights were ready to answer. They received the kickoff and handed off the ball to ogre Gorge Smasherfist who pummeled his way halfway through the Lunatics' zone when the clock was running down. The Lunatics gang-tackled the Ogre taking him down. Lucky, the Lunatics' catcher recovered only to get driven into the grass as time expired on the first half.

At halftime, Ug the Lunatics coach was very happy that there were no injuries. Then the carnage started!!! The Knights received the ball and made short work of the Lunatics, nearly killing lineman White if not for the magic sponge, and knocking out four, and then scoring easily.

9 Lunatics prepared to receive the kickoff from 8 Knights with only one quarter of the game remaining. Lucky (Lunatic catcher) and a blitzer streaked down the left side of the field while Phuph, the thrower, went back nearly into the end zone to recover a deep kick. Lucky and the blitzer were quickly flattened by two of the Knights blitzers while Billie Coolhands (Knights’ catcher) blitzed and nearly caught the Lunatics thrower if not for tripping at the last second.

Phuph ran up the field and tossed a quick pass to a wide open blitzer at midfield, but the pass drifted. After a brutal scramble the Phuph recovered the ball and ran it deep to handoff to a blitzer who ran it in for a game winning TD as the clock expired.

What an excellent game!!!
