Having risked 3 handicaps, we were hit by Doom and Gloom, Palmed Coin and Morleys Revenge. Morleys hit a 3 and was very effective. Doom and Gloom meant we were at 3 rr's which might not have been so bad had it then decided not to pur with rain. We hit poor dice after poor dice with crucial pick ups and plenty of double skulls. I coudl go into the endless examples but our luck ranged from 18% to a maximum of 39% in the first half. We managed to carve out a TD in the last turn of 1st half with a 3+ 4+ 2+ 2+ with a rr; which given our run of luck seemed an impossibility but shouldnt be so hard given the rr. Meanwhile Jun was hitting mind bending armour rolls and picking up and catching like it was Big Hand Day for Gutter Runner on catching juice, with most of my kicks scattering wildly into the crowd makeing the problem of rain obselete for him. Most noteably was a nerve wrecking scatter from a blitz which eventually landed in the hands of hs well protected CW. At 2-2 we were about to start turn 6, set up and kicked off to the tune of Perfect Defense (against us, naturally) to which i reply to yet another 1 rr 1allowing Jun to crowd the ball, pick up and score the winner. A truly truly frustrating game made all the worse by the tr difference which no doubt will give the impression i was cherry picking an easy game ( he asked me for the game incidentally, which i was loathed to take because of the handicap; he knew, he knew!); well Mother Luck screwed this out of me; i didn't beat myself nor did my opponent, to be fair.
