“A game that had many interesting sequences. Morley's (one of the two handicaps) aited a long time before striking and so made little difference, and Smelling Salts are of limited use when you're playing Chaos against Pro Elves. This combined with the fact that both of the ag6 catchers decided to show up made certain that this would (fortunately) be no cake walk for the Crusaders. The game went forth and back and both teams suffered from some 1s (including a couple of snake eyes which only happened due to a misclick on my part, dho!) and skulls.

They started out hard by BH an elf as well as SI one only a couple of turns into the game slowly gaining a numerial advantage. But as the Crusaders approached the EZ a 1d block stunned the ball carrying CW and send the ball into the crowd, who responded by throwing it back in - conviniently close to one of the Catchers who soon made sure the score was 1-0 in Inutilidades favour. Attempts to even it out in 2 turns failed.

2nd half started out with a nice little Blitz! for the Crusaders - it could have been devastating had it not been for a rather OK scatter that made sure the elves were still in reach of the ball. And they did get it - unfortunately for them a failed dodge (2+ and Team RR) made sure little came of this.

The Crusaders got in control of the ball thanks to Omgor Manbane and his rather oversized hand but alot of dodges later and a Blitz the Elves had everything under relative control.

It wasn't that I suffered less ones - it was just that the elves tended to get the 1s right after each other. Non the less the two catchers were once again main figurines as the elves increased the score with another TD though the cost was high as many elves suffered (including a -MA on a str. 4 lineelf Blodger that failed to get apothed).

4 turns to go. The score was 0-2 and the Crusaders had to act fast - fortunately there was few elves left (not that lack of numbers have ever been enough to stop elves on the go) and the team was optimistc. And rightly so - a TD and there was still 2 turns left to snatch the ball and even the score. Mispositioning by me could have cost me a bit but fortuantely a double 1 as a catcher tried to pick up the ball by the help of a newly acquired RR (Kick-Off result) ment that we were still very much in game. A fact that however got blurred a bit as a CW tripped and only left one other in TD distance.

The ag6 catcher gets ready to shine. CW covered by two elves... Blitzer blitzes a beast... The catcher gets ready to throw... And Interception by d'Graf! Look at him pick that ball out of the air!

I decided that the covered CW was too risky and instead pushed a beast into position. Unfortunately the damn ag6 elf decided not to go down as he was viciously assaulted by a tackle beast which meant I couldn't just hand off - and a direct pass would have meant that a the ag6, NOS, Catch elf would have had a chance to intercept - not good odds for me. So I had to go around him, failed a GFI and that was the end of the game.

Sorry about the injuries, pal. Got a bit too messy considering my troll is the only one with MB. I hope your team recovers which I'm sure it will with star players like that. I'll be coming for a re-match when your team has recovered though ;)
