“This match didn't turn out to be all that fair. With very poor handicap rolls, Tommi's orcs were stuck playing against a team of nine (even after one of my three niggled players decided to sit the match out). With almost all of their best players on the field, the Knives went out to demonstrate just why it is that they are still playing.

The first half saw Selene precise deep kick, landing right on the opposing TD line, and bouncing right into the end zone. With the ball so far back, it was going to take the orcs at least a couple of turns to bring it back up the field. Feeling confident, the elves spread right out, sending a few players down-field, and keeping a few back in case the orcs somehow managed to get the ball down-field.

A perfect throw from thes orc star thrower sent the ball sailing right into the hands of a waiting black-orc, who promptly dropped it on the ground. Seeing their opportinity, the elves moved in, and secured the ball, passing the ball back to Erebos. Secure as they tried to make it, the orcs had no trouble moving in and knocking the elven star blitzer to the ground, but had trouble picking the ball up once it was down on the ground. This was all the opportinity the knives needed, pushing the ball down-field, and moving in to bring the score up 1-0 by the end of the first half.

The second half saw a seemingly effortless 3-turn touchdown by the knives. By spreading their players out, the orcish defence was weakened, and the knives pushed through with fairly safe passes all the way (a bit of luck helpef them out in this regard).

FCSorsapuisto came back with a touchdown of their own after Selene mistakenly stepped out of the was of an Orc Blitzer. The orc, seeing that he was just in range took the ball right out of the hands of his team-mate, and sprinted right through to bring the scores back up to 2-1.

The knives took a little bit of a risk, going for a third touchdown. They risked a pass downfield, where a fumble could have cost them the game (well, made it a draw at least). Fortunately, they succeded in making the touchdown in the closing minutes of the second half giving them a secure 3-1 victory.”
