“A paltry crowd turned out to witness a game that was far too tactical for the likes of the average Blood Bowl fan.

The 'Saws were quick out the blocks, registering an early touchdown. A well marshalled Chainsaw defense broke through the return play from the Green Destroyers, taking out the ball carrier and getting forward in numbers. La Boom Boom looked like doubling the lead before being brought down inches from the line by a dodging black orc. The Destroyers managed to get the ball into the middle of the pitch before losing it again, but the home side could not recover it and the visiting orcs managed to scoop it back up and score as the first half came to a close. Much to the disappointment of a frustrated crowd, a serious injury was successfully treated in the course of the play.

Again the Green Destroyers came up against stout Chainsaw defense in the second period. This time the 'Saws got the ball to star player Vader. Just as it looked like he was to score at the end of the second period and register a deserved win for the home team, another black orc managed to get back and knock him down, causing the game to end in deadlock between the two greenblooded sides.

Disgusted at the lack of casualties caused and the inability to see off a lesser rated side, the Green Destroyers' fans left early in droves. This came as a big dissappointment to the home fans who were looking forward to some good old fashioned tribal conflict in order to make up for the relatively bloodless game.

The main incident occurred on the sideline, with Coach Chainsaw and Coach MagmaBeast breaking into a fierce argument over whose players were the luckiest. When an official tried to approach the coaches, who were not paying attention to the game any more, and calm them down by telling them Vader had lost the ball and the game was drawn, it got even worse. A stray gesticulating hand caught the official mid-sentence. Having only managed to get the words, "It's ok, he lost..." out before being knocked down, Coach Chainsaw got excited thinking the offical was referring to his opposite number and not his star player. Vader and Coach Chainsaw had to be separated later when a fuming coach found out it was the star blitzer who had lost the ball and hence lost the victory and subsequently laid his hands on the player. It took the entire team to be able to pull the orc off of his coach and restrain him until he'd calmed down. The team doctor says the coach survived and the rest of the side only suffered minor injuries, calling the lack of fatalaties at the hands of the enraged orc, "a miracle."

A group of fans that stuck around after hearing about the debacle booed Vader for failing to inflict any serious damage on his team mates. They were not so lucky. Datha was grateful for the extra skulls, albeit damaged, to add to his collection.”
