YEAH BABY! YEAH!

Having had a few days to contemplate what the hell happened i have these following things to say :

1. My armor held up very well.
2. Regenerate only failed once...on a 0 spp zombie
3. Miss Sophie is a freakishly excellent player. st 4 ag4 tackle wight...damn i love her.
4. The count just adds that much to a team.......anything is possible. st 5 ag4 blodge is just...wow.

My opponent said it himself in the game chat - "I lost this game myself in 2 turns in the 2. half". First one was the dodging troll slayer from hell, the other one was along those same lines. I just got lucky exactly when i needed it.

Thanks for the game glademan - i look forward to meeting you in the finals again next season ;).

A word on strategy...

As a Blutballas rookie i must admit that i never expected to go this far and have in the run of this tourney lost a ghoul, 2 wolfs and a FG due to permanent damages.

I decided to sack mng players to keep the TR low and winnings up, hoping to hire the count for every game among a few new zombies ,while taking very good care of Miss Sophie - never leaving her in a tz if i could avoid it. Basically my game was based on her. Before each game i trimmed my TR to make sure i´d get that extra handicap to see me through.

My relatively good fanfactor has helped me win lots of rerolls during the games which has been very important as 3 rerolls and no ballhandling skills except the wolfs demand a turnover here and there. My blocking has been impeccable throughout the tourney and...phew.. :D

Thanks to all my opponents in the cup - i´ll see you again next season. :)

#6 Manganese – Broken Ribs (MNG)
#6 Manganese – Smashed Knee (NI)
#10 Gold II – Broken Ribs (MNG)
#10 Gold II – Smashed Knee (NI)

This should have been an easy match according to the starting teams lineups. But no game is that easy. "We lost this match in the finalturns of second half when a trollslayer went mad and tried a 6+ dodge instead of just waiting for an opportunity". He says after the game: "I never saw that zombie." Well after a pretty descent gameplan from Claws r´us they can stand as proud winners of the blutballas XI. The dwarfs have some thinking to do. "Now we have to practise those passes even more", the runners says in a short comment of their lousy passing game in this final. Maybe the pressure got to hard on the short heavy hitters who just got warm in the clothes for some hard hitting action after 13 turns. And then it was to late. "We smashed them but they kept coming back every time, those dirty smelling bitches." Magnesium says with a confused look in his eyes. As to the coach, he feels a bit ashamed for the team not getting more out of their usually strong passing game.
