This game was supposed to be the exciting climax to a 3-game flurry between these two sides. Instead it was a farce and will be looked upon with distain by the fans for years to come.

The first half saw a ridiculous number of skull-skull rolls (6 between the two sides, if I'm remembering correctly). Add to that the number of 1s both teams were rolling, and it was looking rather ominous. The only other notable moment was the failure of the undead team to score when Coach Schalburg got greedy and ordered a zombie to go for it to get into a position to help some blocking, instead of moving his ghoul one space into the endzone. Needless to say, the zombie fell over with a reroll.

The second half was the farce. Fumbbl flaked, we had to reload, and the ball just kept appearing all over the place. He should have made it 1-1 in turn 3, giving me 6 turns (inc. my turn 3) to try to score a winner. Instead we got downfield to discover the ball was back upfield. By the time the zombie, who accidentally picked up the invisible ball, got it to a ghoul, there was only a couple of turns left so my team -robbed of the opportunity to attempt to reply to any score - started defending. Needless to say, it worked, and the game was won, but not in a style that made it feel like a win.

The decider will be played another day!
