“What a game. Though game with daring moves and heavy contact.

The started badly for us as the ShortFatCats (SFC) were moving forward knocking everybody and even causing a niggling on one of my precious Saurii. Fortunately, the apo did a great job. But I was quite afraid for the rest of my team for the rest of the game.

The SFC where proceding towerd my endzone by moving near the sideline. I sent most of my skinks to try to pressure them a bit from behind but I kept one near my end zone in case of deseperate measure.
The turning point came shortly after that when the SFC where forming a cage with the ball carrier near the sideline. The reserve skins saw the opportunity and rushed through the cage dodging here and there like a skink can do and threw himself at the goblin (2 dice against me, both pushback reasult!). The goblin went crowd surfing and got KO'ed by the crowd. The ball ended in a position where both team could get it.

A great battle followed for the control of the ball. It changed possession several times. But no one was able to score.

Second half, was a bit different, following a perfect defense for the SFC, I was forced to change my plan, using my speed to change wing. But I protected my ball carrier poorly and the SFC profited of the occasion to grab the ball, trying to tye my lizards with whatever the could to forbid one of them to blitz the lone hobgoblin. I managed to free one of my saurus and get possession of the ball.

Not for long. But I got control of it again by catching a bouncing ball and managed to get Dwayne Taylor one square from the endzone with no possibilities for the SFC to get it.

The SFC were outnumbered and tryied to get some space to breath. I used this time to "stall" a bit. Trying to protect Dwayne with other skinks!
A bull centaur was freed and charged my skinks blitzing one of the bodyguard but only pushing him back. He then tried to dodge to put a tackle zone on Dwayne, but went splat! I then managed to put my skinks into safety again and I scored on turn 8.

Overall, a though game that got me on the edge from start to end.
