He lines up once more, and has a 2d shot against my RO. Double skulls--ok, try for pro, but the skill won't activate--at this point Cloggy, sick IRL and not really up to fighting against the inevitable, just took the skull and told me to soldier on. Out comes the boot to the cd's head, and boom, away goes a mb/po/pro blocker. (Hadn't realized at the time that the apo had failed...) Grab the loose ball, poised to make this a route. Given the situation, Cloggy decided to just cut his losses and run...

I don't want people downing on Cloggy for his decision. He would be very hard pressed to win the game given the situation at that time, players remaining, lack of apo with a claw, two MB's and a dp ready to keep inflicting punishment, and gutters desperately wanting to run up the score and gain new skills. He did not take the coward's way out; he acknowledged the tactical situation, made his decision, and I will not fault him. I would've liked to score a tad more for some additional skills before my game vs Jan's humans, but the cash will come in handy to rehire the str6 star RO for my semifinals matchup in the LLT qualifier...”
