The opposition showed up mighty strong for this match, with Morg'n'Thorg, Nobbla Blackwart and an orc Weirdboy ($$$ talks) all taking part for Da Tribez. Initially two teams of equal strength, the stars were clearly in favor of Da Tribez.

Da Tribez received first, making the TD in the last turn of the half to deny Da Rippas the chance to equalize. Nobbla did most of the early blitzing with his chainsaw, but failed to do anything but stun a few players before Rippas' star blitzer Galak made him eat his own saw. Da Tribez controlled the field well and the TD was never really in question. 1-0 Tribez.

Da Rippas usual "lone goblin upfield" tactic was easily stopped by the usual "lone goblin in serious pain" counter-tactic in the 2nd half. Da Rippas waited for an an opening before sending the other goblin running, but could only protect him partly. Tribez' lineorc Furna took the goblin down a few sqares short of the end zone and stole the ball. He moved it quickly upfield to one of Da Tribez' blitzers, who was in turn intercepted and brought down by Rippas' blitzers. The ball was loose as both sides scrambled to get it. Da Tribez' Weirdboy fireballed two Black Orcs to give Morg a clear run for the ball. In the dying last seconds of the game, Da Rippas' star thrower Trash had to pick up the ball in Morg's TZ, dodge out and do a hand-off to unmarked goblin Falla to equalize, but failed the pick up. Game over.

Well played Parallax, good luck in the tournament. Da Rippas suffered the loss of a blitzer and have to play some matches outside the Cup to come back as a competitive team. We aim to give it another try.”
