“Wozza's Whirlwinds took the field in the knowledge that they'd have to get off to a running start in the Offord Invitational if they were to have a chance of surviving through to their last game.

Thankfully, they got their good start, at the expense of the Vampire-heavy 'Cheesecake'.

Some early runs by Squabble gave the Whirlwinds a commanding 2-0 lead and some compound blocking (along with Bloodthirst) allowed them to keep the 4 Vampires subdued throughout the match.

Some spectacular hacking ensued but had little effect on the burly, yet astonishingly well-attired Vampires and the only casualties (both fatal) were caused by humble Orc linemen in the course of their normal duty.

Wozza is pleased that after a shaky start against the Vermin Casualties in a pre-season friendly, the Whirlwinds are on good form as they approach the 2nd fixtures.”
