Game begins with a gang-foul MNG to his BoB, apo'd. My claw/rsc and dp rats' eyes began to gleam with the possibilities...and sure enough, Wakizashi racked up two BoB cas himself, and though our dp never made another cas, he sent several to the ko box. This was enough to overcome some positively boneheaded play to grab the ball and score after the orcs had stolen it fair and square. To end the half they try to entice me with a number of orcs in my backfield to blitz, but my eyes are on the agi5 ballboy...boom! Surround the ball with rats, orcs can't retake, first half ends 1-0 rats, with a very dead BoB and only a niggled rookie linerat.

That's when things started to get ugly...

Fists/claws/feet were flying everywhere, nobody was safe from punishment. The orcs eventually score in turn 2.8, having removed virtually all rats in the process. Time for my OTS rat to come out and earn his keep...but the thrower fumbles the pickup! We're going to overtime!

Rats receive, per orc design, and a quick snap later have easily regained the lead 2-1. Now the orcs are looking mighty savage, and are wanting to grind out the clock and take their chances with a coin toss...but what's this? Skulls on both sides, but more mis-opportune ones for hte orcs, with my rats trapping the ball along the sidelines, and now my RO wants to play for the first time all game! BOOM! Down goes the orc thrower, but not before he dumps the ball off to the agi5 blitzer, who catches it beyond retaliation range. But he himself is surrounded, and has to try dodging into 3 tz's to escape...nothing doing, buster. Ball back to the rats, who extend the lead to 3-1 with but a single turn remaining, just long enough for the orcs to make one last cas via gang-foul in frustration before going home, dejected.

Yes, we won, but did we really? Our next qualifier match is vs either cd's or dwarves, and we're down three guard linerats, one permanently (who ofc got game MVP), and a niggle to our blodge/guard linerat, who we must now decide if we keep or not. Next game is gonna be interesting...”
